  Very nice place to stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are a good size and well appointed. Easy walk into town; there's also a steep hill way if you want a bit of exercise.

  I really wasn't sure about sleeping underground as I am a little claustrophobic, I really shouldn't have worried, it turned out to be a fantastic experience!. We reached Coober Pedy after a long and exhausting day on a motorcycle from Port Augusta. The staff were so friendly and helpful that they allayed my fears immediately. There are 4 generations of the same family running the hotel and you can tell, it has a really homey family feel to it. The rooms are clean and very tidy, the temperature is perfect year round and its incredibly quiet. The rooms are actually so dark and quiet they said some guests leave a fan on at night just for the light and noise!

  We didn't see even close to enough of Coober Pedy, we will be back and we will definitely come back to the Comfort Inn!

  We had a massage arranged by the hotel, which was awesome and they helped us get in touch with local tour operators and book tours. You get a discount at the Old Timers mine next door if you mention you are staying at the hotel and downtown Coober Pedy is a safe 15 minute walk. Have a wander around the hotel and read the history boards of how the place got built and who was involved, fascinating!
